Dr. Britt Patton, D.C., LAc
I am a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist with an emphasis in women’s health. I earned my bachelors degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, my doctorate in Chiropractic medicine and masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Southern California University of Health Sciences. My special interests are adaptations of the body during exercise performance, pregnancy and post-partum periods. I believe in the importance of maintaining a balance in the human body through nutrition, lifestyle, and proper biomechanics. I am certified in Graston Technique and Kinesio taping. I have worked on many sports sidelines and on sets with actors and stunt men. I earned my certification in the Webster technique and worked in a pregnancy clinic through graduate school to learn the adaptations of the female body through pregnancy, fitness during pregnancy, the specifics of Breech positioned babies. I have worked with many fertility cases and pre-natal health conditions through acupuncture.
Growing up in the southern part of the United States I learned what family and "home cooking" were all about. I loved the large, loud family gatherings to eat, watch football and share a few laughs. As I grew up and found myself interested in the sciences I saw that while those family gatherings were important, so was my health. I will never be one to turn down a good gathering or good food, however, now I know that to balance these behaviors I must take care of my body (especially as it ages). This means a lifestyle of Chiropractic care, Acupuncture, workouts and healthy eating (as much as I can)!
